I have been an EMT since 2017 and have worked solely in 911 EMS. When I started my EMT journey...I was terrible. It took years and 100's of mistakes before I finally landed on my feet and could call myself a decent medical provider.
In my years, I have been there for peoples first breaths and their last, I have treated gunshot wounds, stabbings, highway jumpers....and so many more. I have trained and counseled new EMTs who have gone on to become AEMTS and Paramedics as well.
Starting as a new EMT can be difficult. In the world of medicine we tend to eat our young (new providers). While this seems to have been accepted as the norm, I do not agree with it. Becoming a good provider genuinely takes time, but so many new EMTs don't make it that far because they are beat down and belittled by their preceptors. Thats why I wrote these books...
To give new EMTs a leg up before they hit their first 911 or IFT service.
I am happy to answer any questions or comments you have. I am available for seminars, training programs, or workshops.
